EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC SET

KBB presents an afternoon of experimental music with the Argentine artists living in Barcelona: VOLÁTIL (Nico Hardmeier) and AUDIO DAS POLY (Guillermo Mugular), accompanied in the visual part by Octavi Royo one of the members of the Catalan visual collective VIDEOINA.
These three artists composed an audiovisual session at the KBB, in connection with the video exhibition “Life in Loops” by Timo Novotny.
Maintaining a wide but radical curatorial line as far as artistic criteria are concerned, KBB is once again committed to this type of cultural manifestations, bringing music in its most experimental and avant-garde sense closer to the local audience.
Previous examples: Terre Thaemlitz in October 2005, Jorge Haro and Jorge Castro in July 2005 or the Egyptians duo Hassan Khan and Mahmoud Refat in November 2004. In 2006 KBB presented similar events with the artists from Finland Pink Twins, Vladislay Delay and Mika Vaino on the LEM circuit and the 8 bit Music Collectives with Micro BCN.
For this EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC SET, the three artists were asked to develop their most innovative aspects, to improvise new sound and visual techniques and above all to interact with each other, so that their performance would not be merely contemplative, but would inspire them in their artistic path towards creative evolution.
