KBB takes part for the first time in the third edition of IMPRESIONANTE, a printed art fair held in Santiago de Chile at the MAC Parque Forestal.
KBB, shows for this occasion works of the artists Guillermo Kuitca, Luciana Lamothe and Gimena Macri among others. We also present some titles from our publishing partner, JRP I Editions, with whom we co-edited some publications such as Guillermo Kuitca, Collected Drawings 1971 – 2017, Unreachable Empires and Of Bridges & Borders, an emblematic project in book format of the exhibition held in Buenos Aires and Valparaiso, which brings together writers and artists in the search for a contemporary memory that builds more bridges than borders.
KBB’s publishing projects still has limited distribution in Chile and the association’s presence at IMPRESSIONANTE allowed access to books that are not present in the local market.
For IMPRESSIONANTE, KBB brought unique and unpublished material: notably the Of Bridges & Borders limited special edition, made with fragments of the work “To Pablo” (2013) by Ai Weiwei, who collaborated with us in this publication assembled, numbered and signed by the Chinese artist.In addition to this, on this occasion we present books such as “Transversal”, the first monographic book by Argentine photographer Jorge Miño with texts selected by Marcelo Cohen, as well as “El amor Imperfecto” by Gimena Macri and “Tensión” by Luciana Lamothe, two young Argentinenan contemporary female artists.
