Photo-essay

The photographic project of Swiss artist Leo Fabrizio (1976) consists of observing the spatial consequences of the rapid transformation of cities under the influence of globalization. The post-global city sees its function as awakening desires, preferring to sell dreams rather than solve problems. In the photographic sequence entitled “Dreamworld,” Fabrizio depicts the clash between dream images and the reality on the ground.

“Is everything that is built—architecture—nothing more than a material representation of our dreams? But if all these representations are no more than cardboard scenery, hollow but eye-catching, where does this leave our dreams?”—Leo Fabrizio
