“Mental Landscape” is the first monographic book of the visual artist Mariana Sissia, it covers her production between 2009 and 2015. It presents the work sustained with the same material, graphite, reaching levels of depth rarely explored. The drawings unfold a path that goes from figuration with narrative pretensions to sensitive abstraction. The drawing is a meditative exercise, the evidence of a mental state sustained in time. Two texts by Argentine artist Eduardo Estupia and Nova Benway, from the Drawing Center in New York, accompany this delicate publication.
